Substitute Opportunities & Recruitment

Thank you for your interest in serving as a classroom substitute in Franklin County.

The Educational Service Center of Franklin County recruits, processes and coordinates the placement of substitute teachers, teacher assistants, and sign language interpreters for the Canal Winchester, Groveport Madison, Hamilton and New Albany•Plain local school districts and the ESC's 75 special education classrooms around the county.

All substitutes must do the following:

• Complete employment application packet
  [including criminal background check, negative TB test and reference letter]
• Attend a substitute orientation

• Regularly scheduled orientation for substitute teachers throughout the school year
