Schoolwide Discipline Planning

The implementation of a schoolwide discipline program must include a thoughtful, productive review of the current research on behavior expectations and student motivation. It must be developed with consideration to the developmental levels and unique learning needs of the students who are present within the classrooms. A well-conceptualized, carefully implemented program should reduce disruptive behavior and improve student achievement.

This service provides an initial audit of the current schoolwide polices and practices in three distinct program areas; the philosophical base of the program, the organizational components and the operational practices. Consultants will work with a school-level team to design a customized framework for developing and implementing a schoolwide discipline plan that meets the contextual needs of the school. A seven-step process will be utilized by consultants. The support of the building principal is critical to the success of this process.
