Paraeducators Training: Lifelines in the Classroom

The purpose of the Paraeducators Training: Lifelines in the Classroom is to provide a comprehensive training to address the needs of school, classroom and individual paraeducators/assistants who provide direct services to students and classroom teachers.

What We Offer/Performance Promises:

  • A planning meeting with district/school to examine training needs.
  • Customized interactive learning experiences that include the following topics:
    • Defining the role of the classroom assistant
    • Interacting with students with disabilities
    • The role of the classroom assistant in the IEP process
    • Confidentiality in schools
    • Supporting the instructional process
    • Behavior improvement strategies
    • Classroom assistant/teacher relationships.
  • Onsite follow-up sessions with paraeducators/assistants as requested by school leadership.
