New
Building, New Name
The
Educational Service Center of Franklin County formerly known as
the Franklin County
ESC has moved
to a new location. The ESC of Franklin County
Area Media
Center now resides at
2080 Citygate
Drive just north of the Columbus
airport off Stelzer Road. The central office now includes a spacious
conference center, the School Study Council of Ohio, the University
of Dayton and the Central Ohio Regional School Improvement Team.
The Area Media
Center is
open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and walk-ins
are welcome. Please call ahead to make sure someone is available
to assist you.

Digital
Video Collection
Area
Media Centers around the state are cooperatively purchasing digital
videos for use in the K-12 classrooms. The collection contains
more than 200
digital videos, with more than 700 instructional modules,
and includes programs for almost all subjects and grade levels.
Each video can be streamed or downloaded (please
read technical specifications and copyright). If your school does
not allow you to stream or download you may access the online
catalog and order a CD or DVD to be delivered directly
to your school building.

Professional Development
Currently
the Area Media Center
has more than 160
staff development titles for teachers and administrators
to use as part of their professional learning that will ensure
success for all students.
The professional development kits are purchased from reputable
companies such as the Association for Supervision and Curriculum
Development (ASCD), School Improvement Network (formerly the Video
Journal of Education), Annenberg Media, CRM Learning, the Attainment
Company and many more. If there is a professional development title
that is not in the Media
Center's
current collection please contact the media center to request
a purchase.

Mediagraphies
What
is a Mediagraphie? It is the newest titles added within the
past 90 days. When accessing mediagraphie’s you may select the blue PDF image
and print off a catalog of the newest titles added to the Media
Centers comprehensive collection of over 6,000 educational titles.
