Workshops & In-Service Presentations
Dare
to Differentiate
Differentiation means modifying curriculum, teaching strategies
and activities to address the needs of diverse learners and maximize
learning for all. This session will dispel some myths and misconceptions
while providing specific differentiation strategies that support
the standards and respect all learners.
Implications
of Brain Research for Teaching and Learning
Modern theories as to how the brain works provide valuable insight
that challenges some traditional notions of teaching and learning.
Based on Dr. David Sousa's model, this presentation will translate
new discoveries about the brain into classroom practice. It will
also help in the design and delivery of lessons that keep pace with
what is now known about the human brain.
