Battle of the Books Competition
Battle of the Books is a reading program that encourages students to read quality literature. It is intended to target students who demonstrate above average ability and interest in reading. Students in grades 6-8 form teams and compete in a competition modeled after an academic challenge.

Women in Science
Seventh and eighth grade girls have an opportunity to spend a morning with women from Lucent Technology who have successful careers in science.

Young Authors' Conference
Barnes & Noble Easton
Students in grades 1-5 have an opportunity to meet an author, share their own original works and learn more about the art of creative writing.
