Gifted & Talented Coordination Services

Gifted and Talented Coordination Services provide leadership, coordination and support for the design, implementation and evaluation of district-wide gifted and talented programs. Services include direct teacher support, work with district initiatives, professional development, action research, best practices and networking with local, state, and national resources and organizations.

What We Offer/Performance Promises:

  • Work with district administrators and staff to tailor gifted services.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with general education when considering current issues and concerns of gifted services.
  • Assist with decision-making and development of policy/guidelines based on legislation, research and best practices.
  • Consult and provide resources to gifted intervention specialists and district staff.
  • Serve as a liaison among gifted studemts, parents, school personnel and community members.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating the district’s professional development.
  • Provide technical assistance in the creation of district documents and reports.
  • Leadership, consultation and support for the design, implementation, evaluation and coordination of district programs.
  • Distribute information on the availability of student activities and opportunities.
  • Distribute information regardomg meetings and events that relate to gifted education issues for administrators and teachers.
  • Provide district administrators with an annual written report.
  • Support a range of educational options and a continuum of services.
