ESL Consultation Services

English as a Second Language (ESL) is one of the fastest growing areas in education. Both the Ohio Academic Content Standards and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) support content based ESL instruction. ESL consultation services provide support and assistance to administrators and teachers serving students needs relative to English language acquisition, skill development and meaningful interactions within the context of subject-specific instruction. Consultation services are customized to meet district needs.

What We Offer/Performance Promises:

  • Consultation within the district for a maximum of ten days per year.
  • Assistance in the design, implementation and evaluation of district services for ESL students.
  • Administrative updates and information regarding research, best practices and legislation.
  • Coaching support for teachers serving ESL students.
  • Research-based professional development that meets NCLB mandates.
  • Collaborative opportunities with other ESL teachers and related ESL experts.
