Community-Based Transition Programs
Columbus State WINGS & OSU Project Plus

The Educational Service Center of Franklin County operates two Community-Based Transition Programs (CBTP) located on college campuses, WINGS at Columbus State and Project Plus at The Ohio State University. These programs are designed to improve employment and post-high school outcomes for students with mild to moderate disabilities, ages 18-22, who have completed high school graduation requirements but have elected to continue their schooling experience. Through the CBTP students receive in-depth work experiences and opportunities to develop and apply social skills and functional academics in a natural, community-based setting. These experiences are supported by a curriculum that emphasizes self-determination, choice and employment resulting in positive transition outcomes for students. These model programs step up as a frontrunner in best practices for transition service options for students.
